Clash of ethics

New Delhi, Nov. 25: Corporate governance led to corporate clash of opinions at the forum today, when India Inc’s flamboyant icon Rahul Bajaj met the high networthed Azim Premji of Wipro in a session on business ethics.

While Premji approved of engaging board members, including non executive directors, as consultants and advisors, Bajaj said non-executive directors should stick to their role as directors. “If the expertise of non executive director needs to be engaged by a firm, that should be done with full emoluments. But they should quit as non-executive directors,” he said.
