Jet arrest

Mumbai, Nov. 21 (PTI): A duty manager of Jet Airways was today arrested and later released on a bail in connection with death of a 73-year-old passenger on October 31 while boarding a flight for Vadodara.

In a freak incident, Manubhai Patel sustained head injuries after falling on the tarmac through a gap between the stepladder and the aircraft at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Patel was rushed to the nearby Nanavati hospital, where he succumbed to injuries the next day.

A first information report was lodged under Section 304 (a) of the IPC for death caused due to negligence.
