TCS, US firm sign pact
Webmethods Inc and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have signed a strategic alliance to provide consulting services to the former’s Global 2000 customers. Both the companies will provide offshore and on-site consulting services to Webmethod’s global customers. TCS will name Webmethod as its strategic-preferred integration vendor, while Webmethod will identify TCS as its strategic-preferred offshore delivery and development vendor, a TCS release said.
Tata Steel will set up a multi-million dollar ferrochrome plant in Richards Bay, about 150 km from Durban. Senior officials of the company have already visited the town to make a preliminary study of the potential sites for establishing the $ 40-million project, said Denny Moffat, mayor of Richards Bay.
