New Delhi: Harmeet Kahlon took a vital step towards earning a full card on the next year’s European PGA Tour.
He carded a terrific four-under 67, which brought him to a total of eight-under 278 and allowed him to make the cut after four rounds in the European Tour qualifying school finals in Spain.
The 31-year-old golfer from Chandigarh, who had rounds of 68, 69 and 74 on the first three days, brought home his best round so far — that ensured he was in the hunt for one of the 35 cards up for grabs, according to information received here.
A total of 77 players made the cut applied at six-under 280 after four rounds.
They will now play two more rounds and the top 35 and ties get a full card on the European Tour next season.
The remaining will get a card for the European Challenge Tour, something which Kahlon is now sure of playing nextyear. (PTI)
