Pak policy

New Delhi, Nov. 14: The government’s alleged obsession with Pakistan and its predominance in India’s foreign policy was criticised today at the parliamentary consultative committee meeting, reports our special correspondent.

Foreign minister Yashwant Sinha, however, sought to dispel the view and argued that the Indian stand was only in reponse to the “anti-Indian tirade” resorted to by Islamabad.

However, several members felt that Delhi’s foreign policy seemed to be directed against Pakistan alone.

The members said by raising the current strains in Indo-Pak relations with every visiting dignatory, Delhi was only giving its relations with its nuclear neighbour more importance.
