Pak order on missing doctor

Lahore, Nov. 12 (Reuters): A Pakistan court ordered the military government today to reveal the whereabouts of a prominent doctor detained on suspicion of links with al Qaida, after the interior ministry denied any knowledge of him.

Judge Tassadaq Hussain Gilani of the Lahore provincial high court instructed the ministry to find out whether the military intelligence agency was holding Amir Aziz. He adjourned until tomorrow a hearing on a petition filed by Azizís mother challenging his deten tion. The court earlier ordered the government not to extradite Aziz without its permission after media reports said he had already been sent for interrogation to the United States.
