Yasin Malik released

Srinagar, Nov. 11: Mohammad Yasin Malik, a separatist leader and chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, was released today as part of the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed-led coalition government’s pro-peace agenda.

Malik’s release came while the chief minister, who was on a visit to the Valley, was chairing a district development board meeting at the Sheri Kashmir International Conference Centre.

The JKLF chairman was brought to Srinagar under tight security after the government revoked his detention order under the Public Safety Act. He was released in the evening.
