Bengal in command on opening day

The Bengal under-15 team was in a commanding position at the end of Day I of their Polly Umrigar Trophy match against Tripura Sunday. After bundling out the visitors for a mere 127 in their first innings at the Rajdanga ground, Bengal were 123 for five at stumps. For the hosts, Bablu Goswami got five for 38 while Abhishek Bhowmick made 52.

Bengal colts strike back

Sirish Patil triumphs

Swapan Shah, also of Maharashtra and Dibakar Pal of Bengal finished on 7.5 points each, but the former finished second with a better progressive score.
