Dial M for Murder

Tony Wendice, who had married Margot for her money, plans to murder her for the same reason. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know into strangling his wife for a fee of £1,000 and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. However, the murderer gets murdered and the victim survives. This does not baffle the husband. Instead, he utilises his hirelingís death as an opportunity to get his wife convicted for the murder of the man who had tried to murder her. The Scotland Yard police inspector and a young man, who is in love with his wife, discover the truth and eventually trap the husband into confessing his crime. This Frederick Knotís thriller is directed by Rohit Pombra, who also appears in the role of Tony Wendice. Others in the cast are Madhumantee Kapani, Dhruv Mookerji, Prithviraj Choudhury and Gunjan Baijal. This Stagecraft production is presented by Calcutta Round Table No. 4.
