Calcutta: There are six events in Friday’s race-card and fields in the jackpot legs are very competitive. There are two trophy events on the cards with a 10-horse strong field of the 1,400m Gavin Johnston Cup — for horses in Class II — taking the 3.25 pm prime slot. First race starts at 1 pm.

Calcutta: Twenty lots will be put up for auction at the ‘Breeze up’ sales on November 13, according to an RCTC notification. Unlike the customary Breeze up sales, there will be a reserved price on each lot. Standing at the racecourse rubbing-down shed for public-inspection — after the morning trials and again in the evening — all lots will be spurted at 8 am on November 12.
