Goud guides Rlys to title

New Delhi, Nov. 2 (PTI): Ranji champions Railways wrested the Irani Cup from Rest of India with a five-wicket victory on the fifth day on Saturday.

With a full day at their disposal to reach the target of 243, Railways stuck to the task with the dependable Yere Goud remaining unbeaten on 87.

The hosts started the day tentatively losing openers Amit Pagnis for 15 to Sarandeep Singh and Yadav to speedster Tinu Yohannan for 25. Goud and Jacob Martin (27, 5x4) added 41 runs for the fourth wicket.
