Indians off to a flier

Bled (Slovenia), Oct. 26 (PTI): India started their campaign in the 25th Chess Olympiad on a winning note, with the menís team demolishing Wales 3.5-0.5 and women beating Turkey 2.5-0.5 on Saturday.

Among the men, GM Abhijit Kunte, R.B. Ramesh and GM Pravin Thipsay won, while P. Harikrishna was held to a draw.

In the womenís, S. Vijayalakshmi and Aarthie Ramaswamy won their matches, while S. Meenakshi was held to a draw.
