Waqar remains skipper for both editions of game

Karachi, Oct. 26 (Reuters): Pakistan have recalled Wasim Akram, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Yousuf Youhana for their tour of Zimbabwe in November but ignored opener Saeed Anwar.

Separate Test and one-day squads, both captained by Waqar Younis, were announced by chief selector Wasim Bari, but a Akram was only named in the one-day line-up.

“Akram has been picked solely for the one-day matches since he himself expressed the desire to restrict himself to limited-overs’ cricket till the World Cup,” said Bari.

Inzamam and Youhana, who both missed this month’s 0-3 Test series defeat by Australia through injury, have been selected for both squads.

But Anwar, who had opted out of the series against Australia citing the need for rest, had not been considered because he appeared to lack motivation.
