Godhra probe team in Valley

Vadodara, Oct. 24 (PTI): A team of police officials, investigating the Godhra train carnage, have left for Jammu and Kashmir to interrogate some persons allegedly having links with Nanhe Mian.

Mian, alias Nikku Chaudhary, a dismissed CRPF constable, was remanded in 10 days’ police custody following his arrest last week from his in-law’s place in Rampur in Uttar Pradesh, police said.

The recovery of some luggage from Aman guest-house, located near Singal Falia in Godhra, led to Mian’s arrest. The guest-house is owned by Razaque Kurkur, one of the prime accused in the case.

Police said Mian was involved in drug trafficking and sale of arms and was also linked to other unlawful activities.
