Sikkim bodies yet to reach city

The bodies of Parag Roy, 52, his wife Ruby, 46, and younger daughter Manomita, 17, from Belghoria, killed in a road accident in Sikkim on Thursday, had not reached the city till late on Friday. The shocked relatives of the Roy family kept waiting at their Umesh Banerjee Road residence.

CPM MLA from Belghoria Manas Mukherjee is trying to arrange for the bodies to be brought to the city as soon as possible. Attempts are also being made to bring the injured Sanghamitra Roy, elder daughter of Parag, to Calcutta for treatment. Another unidentified person, who accompanied the Roys to Sikkim, could not be traced till Friday.
