October 12 at Swabhumi; 12 noon - 3.30 pm: Performances by the Bangla rock bands, Dohar (at 12 noon) and Canvas (at 2 pm). October 14 at Swabhumi; 12 noon - 3 pm: A performance by the Bangla rock band, Chandrabindoo.

EXHIBITION

Till October 11 at CIMA Gallery; 11 am - 8 pm: Art in Life — A collection of exquisite brassware from South India, etnic salwar kameez sets, dupattas in cotton, organza, silk and brocade, books and magazines, T shirts designed by CIMA, table and bed linen by master weavers, ceramics and hand-made glass, folk and tribal art from Madhya Pradesh and Bengal, costume jewellery from across India, dhurries and mats and wall hangings, stationery, cards and imported art supplies, mirrors, and many other artefacts.

FOOD FESTIVAL

October 11 - 15 at Kewpie’s: For lunch and dinner, the Grand Puja Festival offers varied cuisines of Calcutta that were popular till the mid Sixties. Besides, authentic Bengali fare. Bookings at #475-9880, 476-9929. October 11 - 15 at Grain of Salt, 22 Camac Street; 12 noon - 4 pm & 7 pm - 1 am: Grain of Salt presents Durga Puja Revelries over buffet lunch and a-la-carte dinner. ANTAKSHARI

October 11 at G.D. Birla Sabhagar; 6.30 pm: AKS Youth Wing presents Celebrity Antakshari with ‘Ganga’ and ‘Shobha’ of Saas Bhi Kabhi... fame and June Maliah. Members of AKS Youth Wing and Anamika Kala Sangam will also participate.

ENTERTAINMENT

October 11 - 14 at Swabhumi; 6 pm onwards: Rangeela Raas Dandia, organised in association with Manikchand and The Telegraph. Also, special appearance by Jeetendra and other celebrities from Mumbai along with Keyur and Nayan Meheta’s popular Dandia band, DJ Vicky and singer Kaushik.
