World Cup chess starts today

Hyderabad: The second World Cup chess meet will start here on Wednesday with Grandmasters from across the globe vying for a total prize money of $280,000.

Former world champion Viswanathan Anand is the star attraction and hot favourite to win the title in the absence of players like Garri Kasparov, Anatoly Karpov and Vladimir Kramnik. (PTI)
