Bangla get the Gibbs stick

Potchefstroom: Herschelle Gibbs thumped his third consecutive ODI century to guide South Africa to 301 for eight against Bangladesh Thursday.

The opener posted a career-best 153 off 130 balls with 17 fours and three sixes. Gibbs, who hit two centuries in the Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka, become the third player to score three successive ODI hundreds after Pakistanís Zaheer Abbas and Saeed Anwar.

Bangladesh seamer Tapas Baishya finished with three for 50 from ten overs. Talha Jubair took four for 65 from ten.
