Subhrajit draws to remain on top

Jalandhar: Bengal’s Subhrajit Saha remained top of the table after the 10th round of the 40th national B chess championship with a draw against IM Tejas Bakre on Thursday.

With three rounds remaining, Saha (8.5) leads his nearest rival Maharashtra’s Prathamesh Mokal by half a point.

Second seed Bakre leads a pack of ten players following the leaders on 7.5 points each. Prominent among them were IMs Neelotpal Das of Bengal, G.B. Prakash, Sunderrajan Kidambi and T.S. Ravi. (PTI)
