Test match tickets from October 22

The tickets for the India vs West Indies Test match at the Eden Gardens from October 30 will be distributed from October 22. The CAB authorities have decided to issue 91,000 tickets. It was learnt that initially the tickets would be distributed among the clubs. However, ever is left over after the clubs have collected their quota, will be put on sale daily at the Mohammedan Sporting tent.

Bagan appeal to Army

Mohun Bagan has appealed to the GOC Eastern Command to allow them to practice at the home ground for their AFC Champions League match against Valencia, Maldives on October 9. The Maidan remains under the purview of the army from October 1 to 15. The Bagan authorities have also asked for a subsidy of Rs 2 lakhs from the IFA for the Champions League match.

Decision on Bhratri put off

IFA has deferred their decision on penalising Bhratri Sangha for playing a fixed match against SAIL on Friday. There was nothing in the referee’s report based on which action could be taken, but the IFA asked Bhratri Sangha for an explanation. Meanwhile, the under-16 and 19 Bengal probables were chosen Monday.

Md. Sp. beat Nagaland Police

Mohammedan Sporting beat Nagaland Police 2-0 in a quarter final match of the Independence Day Cup football tournament at Nagaon on Monday. Dipendu Biswas and Abdulateef Seriki scored the goals in the first half, according to information received here.

WB Police win 1-0

WB Police beat Railway FC by a goal in a Group A championship play-off match Monday. Nadugopal Ghosh scored the winner. Meanwhile, City AC blanked Bata 4-0 in a Group A relegation play-off match. Benjamin scored three while Ashok Sinha netted one and ECLSA beat BNR through a Bhaskar Limbu goal.
