BCCI to hike players’ share

Calcutta: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is willing to raise the players’ share of revenue to 26 per cent.

“We will give one per cent higher than the highest of 25 per cent paid now (in Australia),” BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya told SET Max during the Champions Trophy final in Colombo Sunday.

“The BCCI currently pays the players a share of 22 to 23 per cent of all board revenues — excluding the interest from fixed deposits. Now, we are willing to raise that to 26 per cent,” he said.
