Delhi software company to focus on east

Calcutta, Sept. 27: Delhi-based ERP solution provider Eastern Software Systems (ESS) Ltd is set to intensify its presence in eastern India. The 12-year-old firm, which specialises in ERP solutions for small and medium enterprises, is targeting the jute industry and ancillary units around engineering and automobile industries in the state.

“In the first six months of this fiscal, we have sold 30 copies of our ERP solutions, of which 10 are in eastern India. So, we are bullish about prospects in this part of the country,” director Sanjay Agarwala said.

Clients for ESS’ flagship product ebizframe include names like Tata Steel, Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division, Hyatt Regency, Wesman Ipsen, Polar Pharma among others.

“Besides, we are now offering solutions for traditional industries like jute. We are involved in integrating the entire set of business functions for Howrah Mills Company Ltd, one of the better known jute mills in West Bengal. Right now, we are in the midst of finalising our contract with four more jute units and we see a huge potential in the jute industry, which must change in order to be viable,” he added.
