Till October 11 at CIMA Gallery; 11 am - 8 pm: Art in Life — A collection of exquisite brassware from South India, etnic salwar kameez sets, dupattas in cotton, organza, silk and brocade, books and magazines, T shirts designed by CIMA, table and bed linen by master weavers, ceramics and hand-made glass, folk and tribal art from Madhya Pradesh and Bengal, costume jewellery from across India, dhurries and mats and wall hangings, stationery, cards and imported art supplies, mirrors, and many other artefacts. Till September 30 at 1/57B Dover Place, Calcutta 19; 2 pm - 8 pm: Gharoya presents an exhibition of saree, salwar-kurta and punjabi. Till September 25 at Identity Gallery; 10 am - 7 pm: Shafali from Hyderabad presents its festive collection of suits, embroidered kalamkari and evening wear, bed and table linen, kaftans, sarees, etc.


September 25 at The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Vivekananda Hall, 6 pm: Swami Ramananda will speak in Bengali on ‘Bhakti Muktir Sadhan’. September 25 at the Abhedananda Memorial Hall, Ramakrishna Vedanta Math, 19A & B Raja Rajkrishna Street; 7 pm: Swami Buddhatmananda will speak on ‘Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita’.
