Calcutta, Sept. 19: The Malaysia-based Conybio Healthcare (India) plans to generate revenue of over Rs 200 crore by the end of the current financial year. The bio-ceramic healthcare products marketing company sells its goods through the direct selling route across the country.
The company, which markets products based on the Far Infrared Rays (FIR) technology, currently has around 55 items in India. “By the end of next year, we will have a total of 100 products in India. The new range includes an entire range for children, a garment range for security forces and a range of FMCG products,” said Sundar Akshintula, general manager (marketing) for the Indian operations.
FIR is part of the sunlight spectrum, also known as bio-genetic rays, and promotes the growth and health of living cells in human beings. Bio-ceramic products are made from 26 kinds of ceramics and mineral oxides, which when cooled after being heated at 1600 degrees is capable of emitting FIR.
Conybio registered a sales turnover of just over Rs 75 crore in 2001-02 and has a distributor network of 1.33 lakh members across the country.
