Inflation at 3.46%

New Delhi, Sept. 15: Despite a steep rise in prices of vegetables and other primary food articles, the inflation rate plummeted by 0.13 per cent to touch 3.46 per cent for the week ended August 31. Wholesale price index for the reported week remained unchanged at the previous week’s level of 167.4 and stood at 161.8 a year ago.

War premium

New Delhi, Sept. 15: General insurance companies are mulling to cut war risk premium, imposed on oil installations in the aftermath of 9/11, next fiscal in view of reduced possibility of India going to war in the near future.

BSL stake

New Delhi, Sept. 15: SBI Caps, merchant banker to the open offer by Sardas for BSL, is expected to file its reply with Sebi on Monday saying the target company and all stock exchanges it is listed on have been duly notified about the offer well before the deadline of August 28.

Air-India fleet

Mumbai, Sept. 15: The much-awaited fleet acquisition plan of Air-India is to be taken up at the board meeting to be held here on September 18.
