Third train at dawn

Howrah station is preparing to receive the third train on Thursday, carrying the bodies of those who died in Monday’s mishap of the 2301 Up Rajdhani Express.

The train will also bear injured passengers, superintendent of police, Howrah, Rajesh Kumar, said on Wednesday. Officials, however, could not specify the number of dead or injured the third train would bring in.

The train is expected to reach Howrah around 5 am, district magistrate Vivek Kumar said. “The arrival time might be pushed back if the train halts at stations on the way,” he added.

On Wednesday, the bodies of three Bangladeshi victims of the accident were flown to Dhaka, Dum Dum airport officials said.
