IFA plans meet featuring SA club

Calcutta: Super soccer is set to return to India with top South African club Manning Rangers accepting an offer to play four exhibition matches at the end of this month.

The IFA officials had requested the club play a few matches when the IFA XI toured South Africa a couple of months back.

It has been decided that Manning Rangers will play their matches against East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan Sporting and the India under-20 team.

It was learnt that the match featuring East Bengal will be played at the Barasat Stadium. The games involving Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan sporting will be held at Salt Lake Stadium, while Jamshedpur will host the match against the under-20 team. IFA officials said all matches will be telecast live and that the response from sponsors have been positive.
