Pune: Harika Dronavalli of Andhra Pradesh defeated Maharashtra’s Eesha Karavade in the final round of 29th women’s national B chess meet on Sunday.

Both Eesha and Harika were overnight joint leaders and played for the title on the top board, which Harika won in 42 moves.

The following players have qualified for the women’s national A meet, the dates of which will be announced later: Harika Dronavalli, Eesha Karvade, Saimeera M., Swati Mohota, Pratibha Y., Mary Ann Gomes, Tania Sachdev, Nisha Mohota, Kavitha J.E. and Krutika Nadig.
