Affiance looks for local ally

Calcutta, Sept. 6: US-based security and loss prevention solution provider Affiance Group LLC will outsource its hardware requirements from an Indian manufacturer in India. The company is in the midst of finalising its partner in India. Raahim Don, president, Affiance Group, announced this on Friday during a press meet in the city.

“There is a huge market and tremendous cost advantage in India,” said Don. He, however, declined to comment on financial and other details of the tieup with an Indian partner. While replying to queries on the possibility of equity participation by ICICI Infotech—with which the company has entered into a strategic alliance to market end-to-end security solution—in the project, he said, “We are open to any possibility with anyone interested in the company.”

But M. B. Battliwala, general manager, ICICI Infotech said: “We are not contemplating that for now. Our objective for now is to find a partner for them.”
