Bank bus attack

Calcutta, Sept. 1: Six employees of Standard Chartered Bank’s N.S. Road branch were injured late tonight when a group of drunks attacked them on Beninandan Street in Kalighat.

The attackers — said to be part of a Janmashtmi procession — smashed the windscreen and panes of the bus in which 16 bank employees, including nine women, were returning from Digha after a weekend trip.
