DANCE

September 1 at Madhusudan Mancha; 7 pm: As part of its seventh annual concert, Samskritiki Shreyaskar will premiere Kalidasa’s Meghadoota, using Kathak to render the rich poetry in movements, images and rhythms within the discipline of the tradition. The production is conceived, designed and directed by Rani Karnaa.

LECTURE

September 1 at G.D. Birla Sabhagar; 11 am: Professor P.Lal reads Yudhisthira’s reply to the subtle moral questions put by Ajagar, the python, to test his character, in the 144th weekly session of his complete English transcreation of Vyasa’s Mahabharata.
