Calcutta, Oct. 25: 
Jyoti Randhawa inched closer to the US PGA Tour and was placed three strokes behind the leader at nine-under 135 the after second round of first stage of qualifiers in Florida.

According to information received here today, Michael McNerney of the US was leading with 12-under 132. India’s Arjun Atwal was tied at 17th with one-under 143.

Bhandari leads

Meanwhile in Noida, Vivek Bhandari fired a seven-under 65 to take the lead after Round I of the Rs 7 lakh Noida Open.

This is the ninth leg of the 2001-02 Hero Honda Golf Tour. Pappan was second at three-under 69. Shiv Prakash and Uttam Singh Mundy were tied for third with two-under 70.
