Bagan celebrations

Mohun Bagan celebrated their second National Football league victory with a musical soiree and a mela-like spread at the club ground this evening. A relaxed evening turned lackadaisical when the champion team members turned up in shirt sleeves or T-shirts. Blazers look smarter, but probably need a bit more imagination.

The club announced cash awards of Rs 12,000 to each player and Rs 25,000 to coach Subrata Bhattacharya for the victory

St Xavierís in final

St. Xavierís Collegiate School entered the final of the Xaverian Millennium invitational cricket meet, being held in Dhaka. The final will be played tomorrow. They won their first group league match by six wickets and lost the second by 14 runs but made the final on superior run rate.
