Take your mixology game up a notch this World Cocktail Day!

Use the flavours of summer with the right amount of tipple to celebrate at home with friends

It’s World Cocktail Day and that means the mixologist in you needs to take your alchemy game up a few notches. Try making these two unique cocktails at home — the Mango Fizz and Kesar Pista Whiskey Flip — to see how good you truly are at making cocktails.

Mango Fizz

Enjoy the perfectly balanced drink with the sweet and tangy notes of Vaum Mango and Fig botanical water.

Ingredients

·        30ml Gin – of your choice

·        15ml fresh lemon juice

·        Ice cubes

·        Mango slices or lemon twists, for garnish

·        Vaum Mango and Fig botanical water

·        Salt rim for the glass

Method

1.    Add gin and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker

2.    Then add ice cubes to the shaker and shake for about 15-20 seconds to chill the mixture

3.    Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Rim the glass with salt

4.    Top it off with Vaum Mango and Fig botanical water

5.    Your refreshing Tropical Zing cocktail is ready to be served

Kesar Pista Whisky Flip

This yummy cocktail features The Glenwalk Scotch alongside nutty pistachio syrup and a touch of saffron-infused honey that’s sure to leave you asking for more.

       Ingredients

·        60 ml - The Glenwalk Scotch

·        15 ml - Pistachio syrup

·        15 ml - Egg white

·        10 ml - Saffron infused honey water

          Method

1.    Take a shaker and combine The Glenwalk scotch, pistachio syrup, saffron-infused honey water and egg white

2.    Dry-shake (without ice) vigorously to emulsify the egg

3.    Add ice and shake until chilled

4.    Pour it into a coupe glass

5.    Garnish with crushed pistachios for a delightful crunch
