After delivering serious performances in films like Kaathal – The Core and Bramayugam, Malayalam superstar Mammootty is back in his massy avatar in Turbo, the trailer for which was dropped by the makers on Sunday.
The trailer introduces Jose (Mammootty), who is renowned for his combat skills and is known as Turbo Jose. However, his supremacy faces a challenge with the arrival of another formidable figure played by Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty, leading to a confrontation between the two.
“Time to Settle The Scores #Turbo Official Trailer Out Now On Mammootty Kampany Youtube Channel ,” the official handle of Mammootty Kampany wrote alongside the trailer on X.
Directed by Vysakh, Turbo is backed by Mammootty's own production house Mammootty Kampany, known for its successful ventures like Kaathal – The Core, Kannur Squad, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam and Rorschach. Both Raj B Shetty and Telugu star Sunil will be making their Malayalam debuts with Turbo.
The film features an ensemble including Anjana Jayaprakash, Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique, Shabareesh Varma and Dileesh Pothan. Distributed by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films, Turbo is set to hit screens worldwide on May 23.
