Witness destruction captured in frames by Tenzing Dakpa as he exhibits his solo project, ‘Weather Report’, at Experimenter, Kolkata from May 24. Dakpa’s series of photographs, ‘Manifest’, depicts the tension between the human proclivity for rampant urbanisation and the irreversible decimation of the natural environment in the process. ‘Weather Report’, the photographer’s debut solo, will showcase his recent body of photographic works that depict the aftermath of forest fires in north Goa, which are speculated to be a result of incessant man-made interventions into agricultural lands and forests. Tenzing Dakpa works in Sikkim, New Delhi and Goa. He is a graduate from Rhode Island School of Design (MFA Photography, 2016) and works across mediums, focusing on photography and sound.
